~ Protector of the Giants photographic exhibition | Environment | guardian.co.uk

Beautiful set of images from three highly-respected wildlife photographers. This is a grown up orphan, Emily, with her wild-born calf Eve.

On Tuesday 7 September Daphne Sheldrick, the founder and chair of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (which runs elephant and rhino orphanages in Africa), will visit the Protector of the Giants exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society in London to speak about her lifetime’s work raising elephants and re-integrating them into the wild.

The Sheldrick website is great. Particularly the keepers’ diaries at the elephant and rhino orphanages in Tsavo East National Park in Kenya.
